Serendipity
This was painted en plein air at the San Diego Botanic Gardens QuickDraw event, April 12, 2014, in Encinitas, California. The multicolored lily pad pinwheels against the dark water and sky reflections caught my eye and inspired me to render this in the two-and-a-half hours allotted for the competition. I am honored that Serendipity was selected by jury for exhibition in the June 2014 Regional Artists Show at the Museum of the Living Artist at the San Diego Art Institute in the Prado at Balboa Park.
Comes in a black, solid wood, contemporary style floater frame.
