Painted en plein air (with studio finish) at Ramona Grasslands Reserve–one of the last open expanses of grassland pastures in Southern California. There is an abundance of wildlife that makes the reserve their home, including various raptors, like the golden eagle, red-tailed and coopers hawks, and the turkey vulture. The early morning light there is magical.
