Blue Agaves

Painted en plein air at the San Diego Botanic Gardens, Encinitas, California.  This stunning pair of agaves caught my eye the moment I saw them. When they bloom, they will be spectacular, with thirty foot tall trunks topped with white flowers full of nectar that attract the bees.

Comes framed in a wide, substantial, dark, closed corner, plein air frame.
